The students, teachers, staff, and administration of the Merkel Independent School District are very proud of our students' accomplishments, whether they be academic, athletic, or in other extracurricular activities. We are pleased that our district is a Recognized District by the Texas Education Agency. The district's teachers and staff work tirelessly to provide students with the fundamentals that each will need to succeed, and they take the time and effort to make our schools a "special" place for young people.
